SUPERVISION OF SUPERVISION
A COURSE FOR SUPERVISORS & THEIR SUPERVISORS

Alongside recognising the importance of training supervisors to provide quality supervision for social service and health professionals is in Australia, we need to also pay attention to supporting them by ensuring that they also receive supervision which contributes to their development as supervisors.

Most supervisors spend little time in their own supervision reflecting on their supervision practice.  Most only discuss their supervision when there is an issue or a problem.  The focus of the discussion is then most likely to be on their supervisee and their supervisee’s clients, rather than on the supervision they are providing.

This course will provide supervisors, & supervisors of supervisors, with the tools they need to maximise the benefits of supervision of supervision; to focus on the process of supervision, supervisory interventions & style. It will significantly contribute to making supervisors’ supervision a journey of learning and discovery.

Supervisors and supervisors of supervisors who have attended at least Margaret’s Supervision Course 1.
