1. Supervision: A Reflective and Developmental Approach
Time Frame:
3 consecutive days
Recommended for:
Both new and experienced supervisors with or without previous training in any profession which works with people. Particularly suitable for social and human services workers and allied health practitioners.
Numbers:
Optimum number of participants is 18. Up to 23 is manageable.

Overview:
Many supervisors supervise by the "seat of their pants". Often having only their own experiences as a supervisee to assist them, they are unable to evaluate whether they are providing good quality supervision. This course provides everything supervisors need to know to provide excellent supervision.

- The supervisor’s “toolbox”
- How to promote reflective practice with supervisees.
- How to engage supervisees in the supervision process.
- How to deal with your supervisees’ ethical dilemmas
This course (with an assignment) may now be credited as Recognised Prior Learning for 2 modules of Course 2 of the Uni SA Professional Certificate in Practice Education.
2. One-Day Supervisor Workshops
We can tailor-make a range of 1 day workshops on particular aspects of the supervisor’s role.
Recommended for:
Both new and experienced supervisors who are not able to attend a longer course.
Particularly suitable for social and human services workers and allied health practitioners.
Numbers:
These workshops are again best provided for up to 23 participants. They can be adapted for larger numbers if requested.
